I have created new blog as a demo and preview of Starscape theme. This offical blog will always feature latest stable version, and demo blog will feature demo versions and will be free of plugins.

Demo features WordPress 2.6.0 with preview of the next Starscape release 1.5.0 Scorpius. New version of Starscape will be released in the middle of next week.

After few days of (mostly) testing the fixes in different browers (control panel problems), new version of Starscape is now available.

Detailed list of fixes, as always, is on the changelog page. Most important fixes are related to control panel problems in Internet Explorer (both 6 and 7), problems with author module and error in comments block while this module is active. Also, search results page is updated, along with few other things that got tweaked. One new thing is expansion of author module, and now it can show date and number of comments in the recent posts.

So, download this new version, and if you find any more bugs, feel free to drop me a mail, comment or post in the forum.

Next week, few more bugs will be fixed and the new version will be released, with few more new features: Starscape Scorpius 1.5.0.

Big thanx to all the people who reported bugs in Starscape. No matter how I try to write code without errors, we all know that’s impossible. So when people started using the theme, well, bugs have shown themselves.

Just to let you all know, that I am currently working on solving all bugs reported so far. You can expect update (1.4.4) most likely in the next day or two. Don’t hesitate to contact me through forum, send me an email or leave a comment. Report a bug, give me suggestion, whatever you want.

Another small update. This one is focused on fixing the problem with WordPress 2.6 in case the wp-content folder is not in regular place in wordpress installation folder. The only solution I have found so far instead of loading wordpress wp-config is to sent all settings needed by external file through query string in url. It could be a long string, but that’s the only solution right now.

If anybody has better way of sending settings in external CSS or JS files, please send me a message about it, or leava comment. Also, if you notice some problems with Starscape and Wordpress 2.6, leave a comment here or in the forum: Starscape Support Forum.

This is mainly bug fixing release. But also, this version adds new Authors template, and add changes to template layout so they now look like any other page. There was a bug with footer and missing wp_footer() function call that is used by some of the plugins. Also, user guide has been updated.

Some of the fixes are related to the requirements for new Theme Directory on official WordPress webiste. Becasue of this, new options are added for displaying tags on front page and in the archives.
