After few months I have finally managed to update Starscape theme. There were few bugs reported in this period, and they are fixed in this version. But the main reason for this update are the new integration features that are available in GD Star Rating plugin. Options panel is updated and new, separate tab for GD Star Rating is added.

This new tab will be visible only if the GD Star Rating is installed. You can use it to integrate comment review and/or standard and/or multi ratings. You can add all 3 blocks if you want. I have fixed few CSS problems, few rendering bugs and made few more changes.

As for the further updates, I can’t promise anything, but at least I will update as needed for GD Star Rating, so you can use it as an example of the integration features.

Couple a months ago I had plans for creating new Starscape theme from scratch, with much more features than current Starscape has. But for the past few months I have less free time and much more work, so most of the plans are now abandoned. Most of my free time now goes into GD Star Rating plugin.

But, a week or so ago, I have decided to continue working on Starscape. This will not include completly new theme, but rather cleaned up and partially rewritten version of the current version. This work will end up in releasing Starscape 2.0 in the next few months. Also, if time permits I will also work on two more themes called Starscape 3 and xScape.

And here it is, after 5 months of development, this is the last edition of Starscape. No more new features will be added, only one or two more bug fixing releases. This time, edition Scorpius comes with some very interesting features and improvements.

I have updated this blog, and also the demo blog with new versions. Demo blog can be used as a proof of XHTML and CSS validity since, many plugins tend to break that. So, the theme is 100% valid. Demo blog is on: demo.starscapetheme.com.

I have reinstalled blog from scratch. Now blog uses latest WordPress 2.6.1. All plugins are reinstalled, all extra and unneeded files are removed. There are still some problems with Download page, and I will see in the next few days if Lester Chan can provide update to his Download Manager plugin. Widget with downloads is working, so you can use that.

And, new Starscape theme will be availalbe in the middle of the next week.

I have created new blog as a demo and preview of Starscape theme. This offical blog will always feature latest stable version, and demo blog will feature demo versions and will be free of plugins.

Demo features WordPress 2.6.0 with preview of the next Starscape release 1.5.0 Scorpius. New version of Starscape will be released in the middle of next week.
