After few days of (mostly) testing the fixes in different browers (control panel problems), new version of Starscape is now available. Detailed list of fixes, as always, is on the changelog page. Most important fixes are related to control panel problems in Internet Explorer (both 6 and 7), problems with author module and error in comments block while this module is active. Also, search results page is updated, along with few other things that got tweaked. One new thing is expansion of author module, and now it can show date and number of comments in the recent posts. So, download this new version, and if you find any more bugs, feel free to drop me a mail, comment or post in the forum. Next week, few more bugs will be fixed and the new version will be released, with few more new features: Starscape Scorpius 1.5.0. |

But, is there any way to change the favicon? I’ve been trying to disable the default favicon. I have my own favicon. It would be better if you can tell me how to enable my own favicon just by put in header.php a few line like [link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" /]
Sorry, I meant… I don’t like to use plugin just for something called favicon. Just put few lines in header.php, I think it would be an easy thing to do.

Favicon changer will be added in 1.5.0. Right now you can only disable default one.

I liked your theme because of the dragon in the left margin, and I’m using dragons for my theme in a children’s literature class this semester. It looked pretty good yesterday on my widescreen laptop with Vista and IE7 at home and the same on my laptop here at work, but the dragon does not show up on my desktop monitor–you can barely see a part of the start and the tip of the dragon’s nose and belly in IE7, with a little more showing in Opera and Firefox. Is there anthing I can do to bring the dragon further in in the left margin?
Well, theme is very adjustable, but the images used for background are created for a width of minimum 1024 or even more. So, you will need to make these images smaller by cutting off the right empty area. These pictures are in styles/nova folder, header is star_draco.png in header folder, and center is star_draco.png in center folder.
Read the user guide, you can create whatever you want for the backgorund, split them to header and center and add in these folder, and set them through control panel.

is there a demo area where i can see how this actually looks? the entry in wordpress themes has a broken demo, and you don’t seem to offer a demo of it on the official site here that i can find a link to.
