Starscape Draco 1.4.3 Update

datePosted on 10:56, August 4th, 2008 by MillaN

Some people noticed few problems that are as far as I can tell only Firefox3 related. Problem was caused by setting theme to fluid mode. There is an bug in PHP that generates CSS, and Firefox3 refuses to use CSS file that is not completly valid. Now, this bug and few other is fixed.

Also, I went a little ahead of roadmap, and added Related posts module. This will be last Draco update. Next release will Scorpius. If no bugs are reported, next release will be available by the end of august or begining of september.

Hi there, I have just installed Starscape Draco 1.4.3 on my website that is running WordPress 2.6. I have a couple of questions/observations:
(1) Comments cannot be displayed. Even in the Starscape’s configuration manager, the Comments section in Modules I tab displays nothing. Is there something I need to do to make it work?
(2) Other features that is blank in configuration manager: Posts Navigation (Modules II), Sidebars Search Forms (Modules II).
(3) The theme works well when the browser is set to fullscreen. But when you adjust the size of the browser, the right side of the page turns red and the header gets pushed off the screen to the left.
(4) How do I adjust the left/right alignment of the header’s background image? It seems to be centered.
(5) When I turn off the Footer Sidebars (Modules I), there is still a little section of the footer sidebar displayed.

Thanks!

One more problem that I discovered is when you search for something, the result page will always contain two “dots” at the bottom of the page even if there are no next/previous page. Also, the pagination label is inverted (Previous Page takes you forward a page and Next Page takes you backward).

Hi it is me again. I found another problem. In the “Related Posts” section (nice feature by the way), the date of the posts are all stated as December 31st, 1969.

Most of your questions are answered in the user guide (user_guide folder). (1) disable Post & Page Author module. I will fix this in a day or two. (2) I don’t understand this. (5) Also will be fixed. You can use forums for more detailed support.
