After some two weeks of work, here is new major revision of Starscape theme, code named Hydra. This revision contains a lot of behind the scenes changes that will allow new important design features I am working on for the next Cygnus revision. More on the Cygnus preview will be available in the next 5 or 6 days.

As for the changes, detailed list is available on the theme page, so check it out. And if you continue to read this article, I will point to some of the highlights of Hydra.

  • Theme now supports Gravatar, and for now you can see user (gr)avatars for every comment.
  • Each post or page can have Print button, and will generate output with only contents, no header, sidebars or any other markup.
  • New color theme yellow, and additional option for each color scheme without the shadow.
  • Typography is updated with lists and blockqoute, but some more work remains to be done.
  • Top menu is now adjustable, with 7 options available.
  • Tags are now also an option for each post or page.

Form now on, user guide will be included in the archive with the theme, and will be always updated to the revision.

If you upgrade from some of the older version, please delete old Starscape before uploading this new one, becase the file/folder structure is much different, and you will end up having to many duplicated and unneeded files.
